I was extremely happy with all aspects of service from PBT, from their friendly professional manner at the initial enquiry stage, right through to the aftercare once the workmen had finished and were no longer on site.
The initial quote listed all the work that would be carried out, the costs broken down into each sub section of work, so that I would know exactly what the final expense would be. There were no hidden extras and the price was fixed regardless of the time taken to complete each task.
There was only one unplanned additional expense. This was to pay for materials to level out the kitchen floor. It only became apparent that this was necessary once the old floor had been lifted therefore this had not been accounted for in the initial quote. However they had warned when providing the initial quote that there was always the possibility that unexpected issues may arise once work commenced. Fortunately there were no further major issues.
It should also be mentioned that they were able to recommend their own contacts for both the kitchen units/appliances and carpet installation which saved a considerable amount of money.
Workmen were on site every weekday, always arriving before 8am and working through to 4pm. Sometimes work was carried out on a Saturday to try and keep on schedule as I kept adding additional jobs to the list.
All of the work has been completed to a very high standard, I have absolutely no complaints. I would say that in many areas they went beyond the expected level of service, for example, fitting tv brackets in the bedroom and adding protective ends to the kitchen worktops. Fiddly jobs that were finishing touches we really appreciated. There was even an abundance of decorating tips and DIY advice always given patiently.
The PBT team made what was always going to be a stressful period a much more manageable process. I would definitely recommend them to any friends and family and would only use them myself for any building, decorating, electrical or plumbing work in the future.
